Adult Participation: No

Select Puffers When:

Students are 6 to 13 years old. A beginner who does not know how to swim. Uses floaties or a lifejacket or is not comfortable.

Class Goal:

Comfortable underwater, float a short distance eyes in confidently. Float on back with minimal assistance.

Safety:

At each lesson we practice if a student falls in the water, turns and gets to the wall and pulls their bodies out of the water. As they grow, this will become a muscle memory and a habit.

STINGRAYS

Ages: 6 to 13 years

Class Length: 30 minutes

Adult Participation: No

Select Stingrays When:

Students are 6 to 13 years old. They are comfortable underwater, can float a short distance with their eyes in confidently, and can float on their back with minimal assistance.

Class Goal:

Streamline and kick with correct form. Swim freestyle with correct progression. Kicking on their back independently.

Safety:

We practice safety swims each lesson and begin to add some distance in the swims.

SEALS

Ages: 6 to 13 years

Class Length: 30 minutes

Select Seals When:

Students are 6 to 13 years old and can streamline and kick with correct form, can swim freestyle with the correct progression, and can kick on their back independently.

Class Goal:

Master freestyle technique. Master backstroke. Beginning butterfly and breaststroke kicks.

Safety:

Safety swims practiced with further distance.


Next level: Dolphins

Ages: 6 to 13 years

Class Length: 30 minutes

Select Dolphins When:

Students are 6 to 13 years old and have mastered freestyle technique. Master backstroke. Beginning butterfly and breaststroke kicks.

Class Goal:

Master preferred side breathing. Beginning breaststroke and butterfly progression. Master somersault.

Safety:

Safety swims practiced with further distance.

Ages: 6 to 13 years

Class Length: 30 minutes

Select Sharks When:

Students are 6 to 13 years old and have mastered preferred side breathing, can swim beginning breaststroke and butterfly progression, and mastered somersault.

Class Goal:

Master Non-Preferred Side Breathing. Master Bi-Lateral Breathing with Flip Turn. Breaststroke and Butterfly with Breathing.

Safety:

Safety swims practiced with further distance.


Next level: Pre-Swim Team

PRE-SWIM TEAM

Ages: 6 to 13 years

Class Length: 45 minutes

Student-Teacher Ratio: 6:1

Adult Participation: No

Select Pre-Swim Team When:

If your child swims in a Dolphin level or above, and is looking to fine-tune their swimming techniques, consider adding a Pre-Swim Team lesson. These lessons offer students the opportunity to improve their swimming strokes and endurance, making them quicker and more efficient in the water. Lessons are 45 minutes long and are a good introduction to swim team workouts.

Pre-Swim Team Offers:

Physical conditioning to build strength and endurance. Stroke refinement. Advanced skills that are beyond basic swimming such as starts and turns. Guided instruction where students are given 1-on-1 feedback.
